Japanese Natural Whetstone Rare Ikenouchi Chunk 30' Size 1686g from Kyoto Free Shipping

Description

This is the Shohonyama Ikenouchi 30' size Chunk from Kyoto. We bought it directly from a ex-miner. For Finishing knives, tools. Moderate hardness, enable to make the keen edge quickly, smoothly. Very Clean from the top to the bottom and having a strong abrasive power, fine & black slurry comes out continuously. The ex-miner told us that Ikenouchi is a stone from Nishimono (west Kyoto / Sonobe area), where the layers are adjacent to Hakka (The location is marked on the last map image) , and that stones of a similar colour to Hakka were once commonly obtained.The sharpening feel is a little harder than that of Hakka and the stone itself feels tighter. Nevertheless, it absorbs water relatively quickly and the softness can be varied slightly by adjusting the amount of water. Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured sizes are not accurate. This is a lifetime investment for people who live sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”

FedEx and DHL services are currently suspended, but Japan Post is available. Item with a package weight of 2 kg or less can be shipped using the relatively inexpensive e-Packet service. Please allow around 20 days for the package to arrive.
Item with a package weight of more than 2 kg can be sent by EMS, but the shipping costs are higher. Please feel free to contact us to calculate the shipping costs on a case-by-case basis.

Returns Policy
