This Ozuku natural whetstone is an older piece that was recently found in storage.
According to the original purchasing notes, it was labeled as Tomae; however, in appearance it leans more toward a Suita–like pale gray tone.Many Ozuku stones circulating in Japan today tend to be very hard Asagi types. In contrast, this stone is relatively softer , extremely easy to use, and produces a dark, rich slurry with minimal effort. The density is well balanced—neither too light nor too heavy—providing excellent control and strong cutting power. Despite its smaller size, it performs very well as a finishing stone for kitchen knives and woodworking tools, offering a smooth and comfortable sharpening experience. Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”

Returns Policy
