Japanese Natural Whetstone White Natsuya-to Grit 800 1683g from Iwate Pref. Free Shipping

Description

This whetstone is a Shiro(White) -Natsuya-to quarried in Oshu (present-day Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture). Natsuya-to has produced a variety of stones, and among them, the white-colored stones are considered the highest quality. These were the top recommendations from wholesalers, favored by craftsmen and professionals alike. In Japan, white Natsuya-to is sometimes sold as Ebisu-to, which is said to have been mostly sourced from Morioka City. However, to the best of my knowledge, Ebisu-to tends to have a slightly grayish hue rather than pure white, often featuring white speckles resembling tuff. This particular stone has faint orange patterns characteristic of Natsuya-to, classifying it as Shiro( White )-Natsuya-to. It has moderate hardness with excellent abrasive power, efficiently removing scratches from the coarse sharpening process. It also transitions smoothly into the #1000–3000 grit range. Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them is different so my measured sizes are not accurate. This is a lifetime investment for people who live sharpening their razors and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions
