"Tosa Uchihamono" is a traditional craft with a history of more than 400 years, in which craftsmen use a press or hammer to consistently perform from forging to grinding/sharpening and finishing without using a mold.

Among the Tosa knives produced by such traditional craftsmanship, the "Gyuto knife" introduces this time is a versatile knife

This Gyuto knives uses "Yasuki Shirogami No. 1", which is one of the highest sharpness among steels. 

Blacksmith: Tsukasa Tokaji / Tadayoshi Forging Co., Ltd.

Learned the technique of "free forging" and mainly produces sickles, knives. The skill is highly evaluated nationwide and contributes to the spread of Tosa knives.

As well as Mr Tadayoshi Tokaji, Tsukasa Tokaji can make non-standard dimensions and shapes according to customer's needs. Additionally, Tokaji Forging is run by Tadayoshi Tokaji and his son Tsukasa. Both of them certified as a "Takumi of Tosa ( Artisan of Tosa )", Tsukasa is active as a lecturer of technical transfer at the "Blacksmith Creation School" of  'Kochi pref. Tosa Knife Cooperative'.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
