Description

Please check the photos. This is a vintage Binsui natural whetstone from Kumamoto Prefecture, acquired from a collector. It dates from the Showa era and has an estimated grit of slightly below #2,000.

Compared with Binsui stones available today, it has a softer, more delicate appearance and character. It offers honest, predictable feedback against the blade and a smooth, pleasant sharpening feel.

Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use.These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.
