Japanese Natural Whetstone Yaginoshima Suita Chunk 1324g from Kyoto Japan

Description

This is a Yaginoshima Suita, a natural finishing stone from Kyoto. Yaginoshima is classified among Kyoto’s Nishimono (western stones), and this particular stone features a beautiful ivory-colored sharpening surface.

The stone is thick and moderately hard. In our sharpening test, it produced an abundant, rich slurry that became nearly jet black. The slurry was very fine, with an estimated grit feel of around #8000.

The blade engages well with the stone while still moving smoothly across the surface, providing a very pleasant and responsive sharpening experience.

Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use.These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”

Returns Policy
