This matcha tea bowl was handcrafted by Michikazu Obara (小原道和) of Izaemon Kiln (伊左衛門窯) in Tobe, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. Tobe ware is one of Japan's most respected ceramic traditions, known for its durability and refined craftsmanship.

Unlike the blue-and-white porcelain commonly associated with Tobe ware, this piece was created as a tea ceremony bowl and features a soft ivory glaze accented by subtle blush-pink tones and delicate crackle patterns. The gently rounded form and warm color transitions create a calm and elegant appearance that reflects the aesthetics of Japanese tea culture.

The bowl is accompanied by its original wooden box and kiln leaflet.

Returns Policy
